About the Mission:

The family of Robert E. Albright, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024, in Glenville, NY.

Born in Schenectady, NY, Robert was a proud veteran who served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He entered the Army on 15 January 1953 and served 1 year and 9 months on active duty, including 1 year and 4 months overseas assigned to the 1666th Medical Detachment, 75th Field Artillery Batallion. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class on 3 November 1954, and for his service was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal.

After his military service, Robert returned to his hometown where he continued to serve his community as a dedicated clerk with the United States Postal Service for 38 years until his retirement in 2006.

Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am, followed by a dignified transfer and escort to St. Adelbert's Cemetery, Rotterdam for interment with military honors.
