About the Mission:

We have been requested by the family of Robert "Cobber" Cummings to participate in his Military Honors' funeral services. Robert, 75, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 1, 2023 at his home.

Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, Robert graduated from Corinth Central School, Class of 1967. He enlisted in the US Air Force on 15 December, 1967, and was trained as an Inventory Management Specialist (AFSC 64550). He was released from active duty on 3 September 1971, and honorably discharged at the rank of sergeant (E-4), on 14 December 1973, after completion of his inactive reserve obligation.  For his service, Robert was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

After returning home from the service, Robert owned and bartended at the McCrea Hotel. He also worked at Miller Mechanical as a forklift driver and heavy equipment operator until his retirement.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

We will stand a flag line upon arrival until 9:30 am.  After a short service, we will stage for dignified transfer and then escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for an 11:00 am shelter service.
