About the Mission:
The family of Robert A, LaBombard has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert “Bob” A. LaBombard, Sr., 77, of Halfmoon, passed on Wednesday, June 5, 2024.
Born in Albany, New York, Bob was a graduate of Colonie Central High School and the Watervliet Arsenal Machinist Apprenticeship Program. He was a decorated U.S. Army veteran, having served as an SP4 in the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970. For his service, he was awarded a Purple Heart Medal, National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (Korea), the Expert Badge (M-14), Regulation Army M-14 Qualification Bars and his Honorable Discharge for his distinguished service.
Bob retired in 1999 from the Watervliet Arsenal where he had been employed as a Machinist for 25 years.

Members will stand a flag line for arrival of family and friends. A brief service will be conducted, followed by a dignified transfer then escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12:30 pm service.
