About the Mission:
The family of Richard V. Padula has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 93, passed on February 7, 2025.
Born in Albany, NY, Richard was a proud veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Called to active duty on 18 May 1953, Richard was assigned to the 3835th Headquarters Detachment, 8154th Army Unit and spent one year and 6 months overseas. He separated on 14 May 1955 at the rank of Corporal, and for his service was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
Richard later worked for Mohawk Brush, then for New York State as a custodian, where he retired as a supervisor.

Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home for the arrival of family and guests. A 10:00 am service will be conducted, followed by escort to St. Vincent DePaul Church, 900 Madison Ave, Albany, NY 12208 for an 11:00 am Funeral Mass. Following church services, members will ecort to St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave., Menands, for military honors interment services at the mausoleum.
