About the Mission:
The family of Richard T. Strath has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard passed away peacefully on March 1, 2025 at the age of 65, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Monticello, NY and raised in Colonie, Richard enlisted in the US Navy on 3 November 1976 and was assigned to the Submarine Service as a Torpedoman's Mate. He served for 3 years and 7 months on active duty, including 2 years and 10 months at sea aboard the nuclear submarine USS Daniel Webster (SSBN-626). He was honorably discharged on 16 May 1980 at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4), and a rating of Torpedoman's Mate 3 (TM3). For his service, Richard was awarded a SSBN Deterrent Patrol Insignia.
After his military service, Richard worked for the United States Postal Service for 36 years, retiring in 2019. He was an avid motorcycle rider and bowler who, after retirement, toured the PBA 50.

Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the dignified transfer. Members of Richard's famy and friends are expected to ride with PGR in the procession to the cemetery. Estimated time of departure is 11:00 am for a 12:00 pm service at Saratoga National Cemetery.
