About the Mission:

The family of Richard Stern, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, 84, passed away on July 13, 2024 at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Niskayuna, NY, Richard graduated from Burnt Hills Ballston Lake High School in 1957. He entered the United States Army on 25 October 1961 and served on active duty until his honorable discharge on 25 October 1963.  He attained the rank of Private First Class and for his service, was awarded a Letter of Appreciation and a Marksman Badge (Rifle M-1).  He completed his reserve obligation on 24 October 1967.

Richard was employed as a sales manager at Morris Ford for many years. Following that, He was a respected figure in the real estate world, having worked for Doreen Ross and Associates and Rima Realty.

Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of the funeral cortege. A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 09:30 am, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
