About the Mission:
The family of Richard R. Allen has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Richard, age 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 14, 2023, at Capstone Center.
Dick was born in Vandercook Lake, MI. After graduating from high school where he excelled at both baseball and football, Dick enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving four years active duty and four years in the reserves reaching the rank of Staff Sergeant. Using the GI bill, he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering at Michigan State University and started a long career at General Electric, most of them at the Schenectady main plant in the Gas Turbine unit. Dick continued his education at night earning an MBA from Union College.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Interment with full military honors scheduled for 1:30 pm. Please stage quietly and in accordance with current guidelines.
