About the Mission:

The family of Patrick K. Russell, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Patrick, 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

Born in Troy, New York, Patrick enlisted in the United States Air Force on 4 April 1966. He was trained as a Maintenance Scheduling Specialist (AFSC 43330) and was assigned to the 410th Avionics Maintenance Squadron, Strategic Air Command, K.I. Sawyer Air Force Base, Michigan, as well as one month overseas. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant on 22 January 1970, and for his service, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the last 30 minutes of Visitation, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm. Funeral service at 12:30 pm, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment.
