About the Mission:

The family of Noel J. Drindak has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Mr.Drindak, age 82, died peacefully on Friday, June 28, 2024, at Schenectady Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Laredo, TX, Noel spent his childhood in Shreveport, LA where he was raised, and later attended the University of Arkansas for two years. He then enlisted into the US Navy in 1965, where he served aboard various submarines, his fondest memories being on the USS Greenling. While overseas, he notably received the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medals (5 awards), Navy Expeditionary Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation (3 awards), Sea Service Ribbon (2 awards), Enlisted Silver Submarine Dolphins, and the FBM Deterrent Patrol Pin (3 awards).

Noel was honorably discharged in 1985 with the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer (E-8, ETCS(SS) . During his service, he also completed his bachelor’s degree at Regents College. Upon his Navy retirement, Noel earned his master’s degree from RPI. He spent twenty years working as an esteemed Nuclear Physicist for KAPL. He made many strides and developments throughout his career that greatly benefitted both the industry and his colleagues.

Stage quietly as we will arrive after or during the church service. We will stand a flag line until dignified transfer, then escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:30 service.
