About the Mission:

The family of Nathan George Hayes has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Nathan passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024 at Albany Medical Center.

Born on July 22, 1956 in Brookhaven, Long Island, Nathan graduated from Schuylerville High School.  He served in the US Navy for ten years as a Ship's Serviceman, including time aboard the USS Anchorage (LSD-36), a US Navy dock landing ship.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class, and for his service, was awarded the Navy Good Conduct Medal and a Sea Service Deployment Ribbon w/one Bronze Star.

Nathan was employed as a security guard for many years, and also played Santa Claus at Pyramid Mall.

Members will stand a flag line until 11am for arrival of family and friends, then prepare for dignified transfer.  Members will then escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 11:30 am service.
