About the Mission:
The family of US Air Force Master Sergeant Kazlynne J. Jean has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in her military honors funeral services. Sergeant Jean, 35, passed suddenly on July 6, 2023. Sergeant Jean's service to the United States Air Force began in 2006, and her accomplishments were many over the years. For her service, Sergeant Jean was awarded; Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Outstanding Unit Award, Air and Space Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, Nuclear Deterrence Operation Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, Air Force Training Medal, Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Military Education Ribbon, and Air Force Longevity Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging and initial briefing at 10:15 am sharp. Members will be staged in the front of the church facing north, where a flag line will welcome the funeral cortege. A military Honor Guard team will conduct the dignified transfer into the church for an 11:00 am service. PGR will again form a flag line at the conclusion of the service, approximately 12:00 Noon, for the dignified transfer, followed by escort of the cortege to Riverside Cemetery. The PGR attended Sergeant Jean's brothers (Rasheen Griffin) funeral services 15 months ago in this exact church, when he passed and was honored as a United States Army veteran.

Second Stage - Special Information:
After arriving at Riverside Cemetary, we will assemble and assist the military Honor Guard with the dignified transfer to graveside. We will then form a protective circle outside of family and friends during the military honors interment service. Once the family departs, we will honor Sergeant Jean with a final salute. Media and military officials are expected at both the church and the Cemetary. Bring your American flag to honor Sergeant Jean.
