About the Mission:
The family of Martin Kvinlaug has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Martin, 90, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, St Peter's Hospital.
Born in Jackson, NY, Martin was a merchant seaman at the young age of 15. At 17, on 22 April 1953, he enlisted in the United States Army. He was trained as a Light Weapons Infantryman and assigned to the 82nd Airborne, Company "E", 504th Airborne Infantry Regiment. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal on 21 April 1955, and for his service was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
After the military, Martin began his own business in 1960 named Martin Kvinlaug & Sons until he retired in his 70's. Martin's was the past president in 1960 of the Electric City Rider's Motorcycle Club, Schenectady, NY.

Members will stage near the front entry gate area to await the arrival of family and the funeral cortege.
