About the Mission:

The family of Leland Richards has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Leland, 92, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

Born in Glens Falls, New York, Leland graduated from Warrensburg High School.  He served 21 years and 8 months in the US Air Force, between 1952 and 1972.  He was honorably discharged, retiring at the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8), and among his awards are the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Longevity Service Award w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters.

 Following his military service, he went on to work at Albany Engineering, Pontiac Car Dealership as a parts manager, and J.C. Penney.

We will stand a flag line for the calling hour between 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, then stand down during the Memorial Service. After the service, we will prepare for dignified transfer and escort to Saratoga National Cemetery.
