About the Mission:
The family of Lawrence R. Miller has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Lawrence, 86, passed away peacefully Friday May 3,2024.
Larry was born in Syracuse,NY, and right out of high school joined the Marine Corps in 1956. He was trained as an Amphibious Vehicle Trackman (MOS 3300) and was transferred into the Marine Corps Reserve until his honorable discharge at the rank of Private in 1964.
He later retired from the NYS Department of Health in 2003.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the last hour of Visitation, 10:00 - 11:00 am. A funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am, followed by interment with military honors at St. Patrick's Cemetery, 150 Troy Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189, directly across the street from the funeral home.
Members will stand down during the funeral service to re-form graveside for interment.
