About the Mission:
The family of Joseph A. Rougia has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Joseph, 86, of Bechard Lane passed away Sunday September 11, 2022 at his home.
Born in Cohoes, Joe served in the US Army during the Cold War Era. He was employed by the Town of Waterford in the Highway Department for over 40 years. He was a life member and past Captain of the Kavanaugh Hook and Ladder Co and a member of the Saratoga Lodge of Eagles. He enjoyed working around his home and garden and loved his TV.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging will be at the church with a flag line for the arrival of the funeral cortege. Funeral Mass to be conducted at 12:00 Noon, followed by anescort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors at 2:00 pm.

Second Stage - Special Information:
Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery. PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21. If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1. Please park as closely together as possible. As always, you are asked to stage quietly and respectfully. Interment services for this mission will be conducted in Interment Shelter 1. Please click here to view a map of the designated area
