About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family of Jose Rodriguez to participate in his military honors funeral services. Jose, mostly known as “Pepe”, 87, of Montgomery, NY, peacefully passed away on April 7, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Puerto Rico in Manatí, Jose and some of his siblings left the island and moved to Spanish Harlem, NY when he was 13. After high school, he entered the US Army on 17 June 1955, and served as a Light Weapons Infantryman (MOS 111.00). He spent one year and 4 months overseas in Korea, and was released from active duty on 27 March 1957. He was honorably discharged after completing his reserve obligation on 16 June 1963. He earned the rank of Specialist 3rd Class and for his service, was presented with a Good Conduct Medal.
