About the Mission:
The family of John R. Morlock has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. John, 88, passed away peacefully at home with family on September 17, 2024.
Born in Richmond Hill, NY on December 9, 1935, John attended Vincentian Institute High School and graduated class of 1953. Immediately following high school, John joined the US Navy and began a 30-year military career, first aboard the USS Ajax, a Vulcan-class repair ship as an optical specialist, and then in the Army and Army National Guard for 25 years as a pilot, flying fixed wing planes and helicopters, receiving The Robert L. Tillman Aviator of the Year award in 1980. He retired in 1983 as a Captain.
After his military services, John was employed at BASF (formerly GAF) as a Sr. Technical Development Specialist in dyes and colorants and retired after 40 years of service. John was a proud life member of the Albany Elks Lodge #49.

Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the Visitation period, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 12:00 pm, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
