About the Mission:
The family of John J."Jack" Scirocco has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Scirocco, age 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on September 19, 1941, in Schenectady, Mr. Scirocco graduated from Mont Pleasant High School in 1959. He went on to serve in the Army National Guard of New Jersey as a Clerk (MOS716.10), assigned to Battery "D", 4th Batallion, 112th Artillery in Trenton, NJ until his honorable discharge at the rank of Private (E-2) on October 7, 1965.
After his military service, Mr. Scirocco began his career at Mount Carmel Elementary School in Schenectady as a sixth-grade teacher, later continuing in the Schenectady School District for five years. He then spent 27 years teaching third grade at Fort Edward Union Free Elementary School in Fort Edward, NY.

Special Information:
Members will stand a flag line for the arrival of family and friends arriving from the funeral home at 12:45 or shortly after. After services are concluded, members will escort to Park Cemetery on Sacandaga Rd. In Scotia.
