About the Mission:
The family of John Harry Nardacci has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Nardacci, 95, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024, at Teresian House in Albany, NY.
Born in Albany, NY, Mr. Nardacci was a lifelong resident. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School, where he excelled in athletics and was selected to the All-Albany Football Team for three consecutive seasons. He entered the US Army during the Korean War on 8 January 1951, and was trained as a Signal Message Clerk (MOS 1641). He served 1 year 11 months and 25 days on active duty, including an 11 month, 18 day tour of duty in South Korea. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class, and for his service, was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star and a United Nations Service Medal.
After his military service, Mr. Nardacci worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 106 for 35 years, retiring in 1982. Later, he worked as a custodian for the Albany School District for 10 years, retiring in 1992.

Special Information:
Staging at the church with a flag line for the last hour of Visitation, 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 12:00 pm, followed by escort to St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave, Menands, NY 12204 for interment with military honors.
