About the Mission:

The family of James Patrick Harding, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. James, 88, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at Ellis Hospital.

Born in Chicago, IL, James graduated from St. Bede Academy, and on 11 May 1959 entered the US Army. He was trained as a Personnel Specialist (MOS 716.10) and completed 1 year and 11 months on active duty, with his last duty assignment with Service Battery, 1st Howitzer Battalion, 30th Artillery, Fort Lewis, Washington. he was honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4th Class, and for his service, was awarded a Good Conduct Medal.

Later, James earned a bachelor’s in business from Siena College. For several years, he worked as a sales representative for Emerick Associates, in Cohoes, NY and Pump Service and Supply, Troy, NY. Following his retirement in 2006, he drove a school bus for the Shenendehowa Central School District and worked part time for the Town of Clifton Park in the Tax Assessor’s Office.

Special Information:

Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. Following a 12:00 pm church service, members will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:30 interment service.
