About the Mission:
The family of James E. Wiggins, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. James, 81, passed on August 21, 2023.
Born in Kinston, North Carolina, James attended Adkin Senior High School. He enlisted in the United States Army on 10 July 1962, and was trained as a Track Vehicle Mechanic (MOS 62C20). He spent 3 years on active duty, including 13 months overseas in South Korea. He was released from active duty on 12 July 1965, and honorably discharged at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4) upon completion of his inactive reserve obligation on 9 July 1968. For his service, he was awarded a Marksman Badge (Rifle).
James later worked for 30 years at CDTA as a bus operator. In his spare time he was a devout member of Masons, Elks, Moose and Shriner's Club.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line between 11:30 and 12:00 pm. Following the dignified transfer, members will escort to Saratoga National cemetery for interment with military honors.
