About the Mission:

The family of James E. Bradwell has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. James, 71, passed away on May 30, 2023.

Not much detail is known of James' life and military service; he enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 19 during the Vietnam War in 1970, and was trained in aircraft maintenance at Chanute AFB.  He was later assigned to the 4392nd Aerospace Support Group at Vandenburg AFB in California, where he was promoted to Technical Sergeant in 1983, and Master Sergeant in 1987.  His 23+ years of service included over two years of overseas duty. 

For his service, James was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Force Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Overseas Ribbon - Short, Air Force Overseas Ribbon - Long, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon w/4 Oak Leaf Clusters, NCO Professional Military Education Graduation Ribbon w/ 1 Oak Leaf Cluster and the Air Force Training Ribbon.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line during the visitation hour 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. A brief Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 pm, followed by escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.
