About the Mission:

The family of Harvey E. "Lefty" Nolan, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Harvey, 85, passed away on Wednesday, April 5th, 2023.

Born in Queens, NY, Harvey was a graduate of Draper High School. He enlisted in the Air National Guard of New York on 19 April 1958, and served three years as a Metal Processing Specialist (Specialty 53250) assigned to the 109th Air Base Squadron (H), in Schenectady. He was honorably discharged from the US Air Force Reserve at the rank of Airman First Class on 18 April 1961.

Harvey worked for many years at the Watervliet Arsenal. Upon retirement, he went to work as a school bus driver for the Schalmont School District, a job which he loved, and Dog Warden for the town of Duanesburg.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. There will be a 10:00 am funeral service, followed by an escort to Grove Cemetery, Main Street (Rt. 395), Delanson, NY for interment with military honors.  Click here for map to cemetery
