About the Mission:

The family of Harry Peters Wickham has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Harry, 92, passed away on Friday, April 21 after a brief illness.

Born in Harpersfield, NY, Harry enlisted in the United States Air Force on 17 October 1950, in Binghamton, NY. He served 4 years on active duty during the Korean War, including time with the 728th Aircraft Control & Warning Squadron as a Radar Operator, with a one year tour of duty overseas. He was released from active duty on 16 October 1954, and honorably discharged at the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5) upon completing his reserve obligation two years later. For his service, Harry received the Good Conduct Medal and national Defense Service Medal.

After being discharged from the Air Force, Harry moved to New York, where he resided and raised his family for 68 years in Troy. He was employed as a Sales Representative for several food brokers before retiring at the age of 80, and was a member of the Troy Elks for 45 years

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Riders will meet the Funeral Director at the funeral home for an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:00 pm interment service. The family will meet the cortege at the cemetery. Anticipated KSU 1:00 - 1:15 PM.
