About the Mission:
The family of Harold J. "Butch" Allen has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Harold, 80, of States Rd., passed away in Glens Falls hospital on Monday, November 20, 2023.
Born in Glens Falls, Butch began his military career at age 17, serving in the US Navy Reserve from 1960 to 1962. He then served in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1970 and 1971 to 1974. He then served in the NY Air National Guard from 1978 to 1982. As a pneumatic and hydraulic technician, he worked on several different aircraft, including B-52, KC-135, U2 and A-10. He retired at the rank of Technical Sergeant (TSgt. - E6), and for his service, was awarded a number of medals, awards and ribbons.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home for escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 12:00 pm interment with military honors. Several family members may join PGR riders in the procession. All other family is meeting directly at the cemetery.
NOTE: This phase of the mission is weather-dependent, and may only include a few cages. Please watch your email for updates as the date approaches.

Interment with military honors scheduled for 12:00 Noon. Please stage quietly and in accordance with current guidelines.
NOTE: Interment Shelter 1 may be under construction during the first week in December, making it necessary to stage at Shelter 2.
