About the Mission:

The family of Gerald L. Rose, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services.  Gerald, 80, of Route 423, died peacefully in the comfort of his home on March 26, 2025.

Born in Bennington, VT, on January 6, 1945, Gerald joined the US Army on 28 February 1962 at the age of 17.  He served on active duty as an Armor Intelligence Specialist (MOS 133.10) until his honorable discharge at the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4) on 26 February 1965.  His time included 14 months of overseas duty.  For his service, Gerald was awarded a Letter of Commendation, Expert Badge (M-14 Rifle) and Marksman Badge (Pistol).

After his military service, Jerry worked as a Pipe Fitter at General Electric Silicone Products Division, Waterford for over 30 years. He was a lifetime member and former president of the American Legion Post 490, Stillwater and also a longtime member of the Saratoga Eagles Club #2568.
