About the Mission:

The family of Georgia A. Bonesteel has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in her military honors funeral services. Georgia, 82, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs, NY.

Born in Grand Junction, CO, Georgia honorably served in the United States Army from 1960 - 1962, attaining the rank of PFC (E-3).  In the late 1960’s, Georgia moved to Burnt Hills and began her career at GE in Schenectady as a computer operator. She was a member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Burnt Hills Fire Department, and in 1997, Georgia proudly graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with her degree in psychology. She was a civil war buff and she always expressed deep interest in history and culture. Georgia loved to read, and she was a master quilter who belonged to many quilting guilds.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

We will arrive and stand for the last 90 minutes of the calling hours.  A flag line will be established for military honors at 7:00 pm.  We will present the PGR plaque following military honors.  Upon completion, we will exit and stand down.
