About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family of Eugene LaCross to participate in his military honors funeral services. Eugene, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at the Warren Center.

Gene proudly served his country in the United State Marine Corp, enlisting on 13 October 1960. He served as a Shore Fire Party Control Man (MOS 0849), and spent 1 year and 11 months on overseas assignment.  He was separated from active duty on 12 October 1964, and was honorably discharged upon the completion of his reserve duty on 10 October 1966 at the rank of Lance Corporal. For his service, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal and a Sharpshooter Badge – Rifle.

He retired from the Hudson Falls High School as a custodian.  Gene enjoyed racing cars, traveling in his RV, dancing, building many things, camping, fishing, hunting, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

We will stand flag line during visitation, between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm..  A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.  After the service is over, members will reform a flag line for a dignified transfer, then provide an escort to St. Joseph's Cemetery in Fort Edward.
