About the Mission:

The family of Edward J. Gadrick has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Edward, 83, of Earles Lane died Friday, June 8, 2007 at his residence.

Born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, Edward lived in Gilboa since 1980.  He previously lived in Ardsley, Yonkers, and Hastings, NY. He was educated in Far Rockaway, NY, and later enlisted in the military where he served his country during WW II in the United States Army Air Forces. He received an honorable discharge at the rank of Private on October 31, 1945.

Mr. Gadrick worked for the Town of Greenburg as a diesel mechanic and truck driver until his retirement in 1979. Previously, he worked for Otis Elevators in Yonkers, Anaconda Cable in Hastings, and in the blacktop business. Ed was a member and Past Commander of American Legion Post #458 in Ardsley and later, a member of American Legion Post #574 in Hudson Falls.

Edward's wife, Ruth, passed on November 22, 2023, and will be interred with Edward during this mission.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

This will be a graveside service only.  Mr. Gadrick and his wife will be transported to the cemetery by Langan Funeral Home, Schoharie, NY
