About the Mission:
The family of Donald H. Hotaling has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Donald, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
Born in New Baltimore, NY, Don was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, enlisting on 26 September 1957. After completing basic training at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas, he was trained as a Medical Services Specialist (AFSC 90250) and served 1 year on a tour of duty with the 7244th USAF Hospital at Dhahran Air Base, Saudi Arabia. He was honorably discharged on 18 October 1960 at the rank of Airman 2nd Class (E-3).
Following his military service, Don was one of the first employees of Atlantic Cement in 1962, which then became Blue Circle Cement where he retired. Don was a member of the Ravena Rescue Squad during the 1970’s.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the last hour of visitation (12:30 - 1:30) pm. USAF Honor Guard will conduct military honors, after which the PGR RC will present a plaque to the family.
