About the Mission:

The family of Dolor J. Dupuis has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Dolor, 102, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2023.

Born outside of Montreal, Canada, Dolor emigrated to the US in 1926. He joined the US Army on 3 June 1942, and served as a Cannoneer (MOS 608) with Battery "B", 546th Field Artillery Battalion. During his service, he was stationed in Alaska, Belgium, France, and Germany. He was honorably discharged at the rank of PFC on 30 November 1945, and for his service, was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, Asiatic Pacific Service Medal, European–African–Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, WWII Victory Medal and Lapel Pin.

After his military service, Dolor was a union carpenter for the Northeast Carpenters until he retired in 1985. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking, and spending time with his family.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line during visitation hour, 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.   A service at the funeral home will follow at 12:00 pm.  Upon conclusion of services, members will escort to St. Peters Cemetery, Oakwood Ave, Troy, NY 12182, for interment with military honors.
