About the Mission:

The family of Dale C. Delano has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Dale, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025, at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 5, 1938, in Bangor, Maine, Dale was a graduate of Bangor High School.  He continued his education at the University of Maine at Orono, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Science, and later earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College.  On 27 November 1960, Dale was called to active duty from the US Army Reserve, and was trained as an Ordinance Officer.  He served for 3 years on active duty, including an assignbment at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of 1st Lieutenant on 15 December 1963.

Following his military service, Dale worked for General Electric Company in Schenectady, dedicating 34 years as a Development Engineer before retiring.

Special Information:

Members will stand a flag line until the 12:00 Noon service. After the service, a dignified transfer will be conducted, followed by an escort to Pine Grove Cemetery in Charlton, NY 12019
