About the Mission:

The family of Charles E. Wildberger has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Charles, 83, of Casey Rd., died peacefully in the comfort of his home on October 21, 2023, with his loving family at his side.

Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Charlie enlisted in the US Army on 30 June 1960.  He was trained as an Auto Maintenance Helper (MOS 630.00), and was assigned to the 565th Ordnance Company in Toul, France.  He spent 2 years and 8 months overseas before being released from active duty on 14 June 1963.  He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class upon completion of his inactive reserve duty on 6 October 1965.  For his service, he was awarded a Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle).

Charlie later worked as a crane and elevator repairman for General Electric, Schenectady for 35 years, before retiring in 2002. A longtime member of the Mechanicville-Stillwater Elks Lodge, he also belonged to the American Legion Post 731, Schaghticoke, and was a former board member and coach for the Lansingburgh Little League.
