About the Mission:
The family of Captain Patricia Ann Drislane has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in her military honors funeral services. Captain Drislane, 72, died on January 22, 2025, in Middletown, RI.
Born in Albany, NY, Captain Drislane graduated from Vincentian Institute and Marquette University where she was Valedictorian of her class of 1974. Entering the US Navy on 23 May 1975, she served in Human Resources, as a Procurement and Recruiting Officer, Personnel Distribution Officer, Executive Officer - Shore Activities, and as a School Administrator. Her 28 plus years of honorable service encompassed the Cold War, Gulf War and the Global War on Terrorism Eras. She advanced to the rank of Captain (O-6) and retired on 31 December 2003. For her service, she was awarded; the Meritorious Service Medal, (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, (3 awards), Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, (2 awards) and the Navy Recruiting Ribbon, (4 awards).
Captain Drislane later moved to Newport, RI, where she joined the Newport Historical Society giving many walking tours. She was a Docent at the Touro Synagogue and never stopped studying the rich history and culture of Newport.

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. There will be a brief private service conducted at 2:00 pm, followed by escort to and interment with full military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery, 2900 Tibbits Ave, Troy, NY 12180.
