About the Mission:
The family of Bruce M. Coyle, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Bruce, 73, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2022 at home with his family.
Born in Albany, NY, Bruce graduated from Philip Schuyler High School prior to being inducted into the US Army during the Vietnam War. He entered the service on 7 June 1968 and was trained as an Offset Pressman (MOS83F20). He proudly served his country while stationed at Fort Bragg, NC, and was honorably discharged from active duty on 5 June 1970. He completed his inactive reserve duty on 5 June 1974.
After his military service, Bruce was employed by the State of New York, Office of General Services at their printing facility at the State Campus, retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Melvin Roads Post # 1231.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of family and guests. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am, followed by a dignified transfer and escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for interment with military honors.

Second Stage - Special Information:
Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery. PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21. If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1. Please park as closely together as possible. As always, you are asked to stage quietly and respectfully. Interment services for this mission will be conducted in Interment Shelter 1 at 12:30 pm.
