About the Mission:

The family of Bruce A. Denny has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Bruce, 65, passed away at his home on Sunday, October 23, 2022.

Bruce graduated from Franklin Academy in 1976. He went on to serve his country in the United States Air Force, enlisting on 31 August 1976.  Bruce was an Electrical Power Production Specialist (AFSC 54252) and spent 11 months assigned to Galena Airport, Alaska.  He was honorably discharged on 30 April 1980 at the rank of Senior Airman (E-4) and for his service was awarded the USAF Good Conduct Medal.

Following his military servicem Bruce worked for C.R. Bard (now operating as BD) in Queensbury for 14 years in the medical field. He spent some of his employment training others. Bruce also loved bowling and owned two bowling alleys.  Some of his enjoyments in life were riding his motorcycle, going to the movies, shooting pool, kayaking, wood working, remodeling homes, telling jokes, and above all, spending time with family.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

We will arrive at 11 am during calling hours, which are from 10-12.  Please stage quietly and stand flag line until 12:00, then stand down during memorial service.
After the service, we will stand a flag line for the dignified transfer and then provide an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2 pm shelter service.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Interment with military honors scheduled for 2:00 pm.

Note that there is a new staging protocol for Saratoga National Cemetery.  PGR members will stage by parking ONLY on the right side of the roadway near Section 21.  If that area is full, the overflow parking area will be on the right side of the roadway near Interment Shelter 1.  Please park as closely together as possible.  As always, you are asked to stage quietly and respectfully.  Interment services for this mission will be conducted in Interment Shelter 1.    Please click here to view a map of the designated area
