About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been requested by the family of Antonius N. Sabo, Jr. to participate in his military honors funeral services. Tony, 74, of Hudson Falls, passed on Thursday, May 10, 2023, at the Glens Falls Hospital.
Tony was a 1967 graduate of Hudson Falls High School. After high school, he went to college briefly before enlisting in the United Sates Air Force. Tony served his country from 1969 to 1973, including a one year tour of duty in Vietnam. Tony entered the USAF on 10 March 1969 and was trained as an Aerospace Systems Military Dog Handler (AFSC 81150A). he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant (E-4) on 9 March 1973. For his service, He was awarded the USAF Commendation Medal, USAF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Following his discharge, he went back to college, graduating from Alfred University with his Engineering Degree. Tony was known as a “Jack of all Trades”. He worked for the Troy Shirt Makers Guild as a manager of their Whitehall Plant, he did accident reconstruction, and taught classes at various colleges. He was a member of the Rotary for several years, a lifetime member of the VFW, and a member of the Allegheny County Sheriff’s Department.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
We will stage for the arrival of family and friends, stand for a dignified transfer, and then provide an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 2:00 pm service.
