About the Mission:
The family of Anthony Scipione has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Anthony, 91, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 4, 2024.
Born in Abbateggio, a small village in Abruzzo, Italy, Anthony emigrated to the United States at the age of three with his mother, brother and sister. After graduating high school, he was drafted into the Army and served as a medic in the Korean War while stationed in Japan. He was honorably discharged from the military in 1954.
After his military service, he finished his degree at Hudson Valley Community College and began a 38 year career with the New York State Department of Transportation as an Architectural Draftsman. Anthony was a devoted Catholic at St Vincent de Paul Parish.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at the church with a flag line for the last 30 minutes of visitation. Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:30 am, followed by escort to Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery,
2150 Central Ave., Schenectady, NY 12304 for interment with military honors.
