All Branches incl SpaceForce

Albany, NY - 05/27/2024

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 4, Region 5, Region 6

About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has once again been invited to participate in the Albany Memorial Day Parade on Monday, 5/27/24.

Grand Marshall for Albany Memorial Day Parade: George LaMora - US Navy Vietnam Veteran.

PGR can always be counted on to show up in big numbers and I hope this year is no exception. It's always gratifying to see and hear the reception we get from the public - and the reviewing stand gets a kick out of our somewhat noisy "salute".

So get to work on those duck walk inner thigh muscles and left hand clutch grip. As always Flags,,,,,,,flags,,,,,,,,flags......

This is always a very well-attended event both in participants and just plain folks lining the street - especially if the weather is nice.

Central Ave is open until about 9:00 am, so early arrivals will park in the parking lot of Albany Tile and Marble (should be closed for the holiday). This parking lot is 50 yds West of Partridge St on the South side of Central.

Once the street is shut down we usually line up in the middle of Central Ave at the intersection with Partridge St. - to the left of the fire trucks that usually park at the curb..

Parade steps off at 9:30am
