About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has once again been invited to stand in honor of our military veterans at two ceremonies for Wreaths Across America. First, in order to Teach Children the Cost of Freedom, Wreaths Across America and Walmart will be bringing a tractor trailer load of wreaths to Notre Dame High School, where they will perform the annual Passing of the Wreaths Ceremony to honor veterans, and conduct a 30-minute ceremony with the help of their ROTC in the new gym/auditorium. Second, we will be following the tractor trailer to the Marcy Walmart Distribution Center for the official Passing of the Wreaths ceremony for Walmart drivers and employees.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

The CDC has changed its COVID-19 protocol recommendations for 2024, updating them to reflect the changing severity and transmission of the virus. Please click here for the latest information and continue to practice common sense distancing protocols while in enclosed locations.

Special Information:

Please park in the parking lot behind the school or in the excess parking lot. We then must walk to the front of the school to the auditorium, to the right of the main entrance. We will form and stand a flag line inside for the duration of the ceremonies. After the ceremony, we will be escorting the trailer to Marcy Walmart Distribution Center for the second stage of this mission.

Second Stage - Special Information:

Enter the Walmart property from Chaminade Road.

At the Marcy Walmart Distribution Center, we will re-stage and form another flag line for the official Passing of the Wreaths Ceremony for Walmart drivers and employees. Five truckloads of wreaths will be arriving at the distribution center. Walmart will be providing a steak dinner for us and all Walmart veterans following the ceremony.
