About the Mission:
The family of Charles Thomas (Butch) Roberts has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his celebration of life services. Charles passed away on March 4, 2024.
Charles was born in Johnson City, New York on April 5, 1947. Prior to graduation, he attended Naval basic training. Charles served as an Abled Bodied Seaman assigned to the USS Hunley, a nuclear submarine tender. For his service, he was awarded the National Service Defense Medal.
After his discharge from the Navy on April 6, 1970, Charles drove a truck for Albany Welding Supply Company. He also drove a truck for UPS and then tractor trailers before he retired.
Charles was a life member of the Johnson City, NY VFW, The Eagles Club in Florida and the American Legion in Alexandria Bay, NY.

Special Information:
The family has requested a flag line from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the American Legion Post 904, Alexandria Bay, New York.
After the service there will be a motorcycle escort from the American Legion to the family cottage at Kring Point State Park, Redwood, NY. The escort will be conducted by the Alexandria Bay American Legion Riders.
