About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of New York has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Naomi W. Zacek, of Remsen, who passed away on September 20, 2023 at the age of 80.
Naomi enlisted in the Women’s Army Corps in 1961. Naomi rose to the rank of SP-4 (E4) as an Assistant Personnel Management Specialist serving in the Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion, United States Army Garrison (5017) stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. After 2 years of serving her country, Naomi was honorably discharged on November 27, 1962. Naomi was greatly appreciated by her superiors for her “faithful and valuable services” and “sense of loyalty, teamwork, and the manner” in which she performed her duties.
A memorial service was held on September 23, 2023.
