About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders of New York has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Bonnie L. Aubin, of Stafford, who passed away on April 10, 2023, at the age of 55.

Bonnie enlisted in the United States Navy in 1987. Bonnie rose through the ranks as a Naval Intelligence Specialist, where she played an integral part in supporting the Global War on Terror (GWOT), Operations ENDURING FREEDOM, and IRAQI FREEDOM. Her career took her to Kuwait, China, Sri Lanka, and numerous other stateside and worldwide locations. After 20 years of serving her country, Bonnie was honorably discharged and retired on September 16, 2007, at the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer.

Bonnie’s family members have also proudly served our nation. Her sister is also a 20-year veteran of the Navy and her brother spent 30 years serving in the Army. Bonnie was a member of the American Legion and several national and local book clubs. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends and cherished the company of Sebastian, her chocolate labrador retriever.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

We will stage at the Funeral Home and form a flag line according to the weather and family wishes prior to the start of services at 2 PM. Following services, we will provide a dignified transfer honors and escort Bonnie to her final resting place at the Dibble Tuttle Cemetery, Emmonsburg Rd, Dolgeville NY 13329 (about 4 miles). We will again provide a dignified transfer and form a flag line for the duration of Military Honors services at the graveside.  Please dress for the weather as appropriate. Thank you for all that you do with respect to the veterans of our nation.
