About the Mission:
The family of Douglas J. Malone has requested PGR to participate in honoring his Marine Corps service. Mr. Malone passed away May 22, 2023 at the age of 69.
Mr. Malone served in the US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War Era for three years from 1971-1974. He reached the rank of Corporal (Cpl, E-4) with a Primary Specialty of 2542, Marine Corps Communication Center Man. He was honorably discharged from active duty 28 May 1974 and completed his reserve obligation 27 May 1977.
Mr. Malone earned: Meritorious Unit Citation Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Stage at the Vietnam Memorial at 11:00am. PGR Members will form a flag line for the arrival of the family, expected at 11:30am. PGR Members will render honors during services - beginning 12:00pm - at the memorial

Please come prepared with a clean 3'x5' US or Marine Corps flag. Dress for the weather, current forecast calls for temperatures in the mid-70s and a chance of rain. Bring your own water.
