About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been invited to participate in the honoring of another American hero, Austin Eugene Furner, 27. Austin died suddenly in an accident in North Carolina.
Austin was a Waterville, NY native. He proudly served as a US Marine from 2016 until 2020 with an occupational assignment as an Engineer Equipment Operator. Austin attained the rank of E4, and was deployed to Norway aboard the SS Wright and to Bahrain. Austin was awarded the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and Expert Rifle Qualification Badge.

Special Information:
Please join me as we will honor Austin with a flag line for his church service in Waterville, accomplish dignified transfers in/out at the church, and provide a short escort to the cemetery. We will remain in place at the cemetery for the duration of services and the presentation of a PGR plaque. Approximately 100 bikers escorted Austin from the Westmoreland Thruway exit to Waterville on Wednesday. We may expect a large contingent on Saturday, so be aware. Thank you for all that you do to honor our veterans.
