About the Mission:
The family of Mr. Albert E. Carr has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his funeral services. Albert died Saturday, November 18, 2023, just shy of his 101st birthday.
Mr. Carr was a US Marine Corps veteran who served during WW II, stationed at Pearl Harbor as an MP after the attack, until 1946. He was called back to service during the Korean War from 1950 until 1952, when he was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. On Dec 20th of 2022 the PGR visited Albert at his nursing home and helped celebrate his 100th Birthday Celebration.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
We will form a flag line outside the funeral home for the calling hour between 12:00 and 12:45 pm. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm, followed by a brief interment ceremony at Smith Valley Cemetery, State Route 96B, Wilseyville, NY. Afterwards, the family has invited PGR members to join them at the Candor American Legion for food and a celebration of life. Dress warm as the snow is just beginning to fly today!
