About the Mission:
The family of Joseph M. Royce has invited Patriot Guard Riders to honor him at his calling hours in Rome, NY. Joe was 45 years old, a U.S. Army veteran, and our brother in Patriot Guard Riders of New York. Joe was an E2 and served our great country with the 101st Airborne and as a Drill Instructor and Administrative Specialist from April 2002 to June 2006. He was awarded the Army Service Ribbon and Expert Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle and Grenade Bars. In addition to serving his country, Joe was an enthusiastic member of PGR and a patriot. He was always willing and able to assist the Lead Ride Captain on every mission he attended in any way he could. He will be profoundly missed by his brothers and friends in Region 3.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Please join me as we honor our friend and brother. We will stage at the funeral home ahead of the arrival of family and close friends to stand a flag line during a private viewing time from 11:00 to 12:00 and stand down after the family has departed. There will be no escort.
