About the Mission:
The family of Korean War Veteran Paul Raymond Garland has invited Patriot Guard Riders to help honor this American Hero. Mr. Garland served in the US Army from 1951-1953. He had 11 months of service in Korea, assigned to the 5th Infantry Regiment. He was honorably discharged from active duty on January 19th, 1953 with the rank of Corporal (E-4). He earned the National Defense Medal, Korean Service Medal w/2 Service Stars, United Nations (Korea) Service Medal, and Army Combat Infantry Badge.
UPDATE - The graveside mission for US Army Paul R. Garland has been canceled. The family is hosting a memorial service for Paul instead at the First Baptist Church of Hamburg, at 120 Main Street, Hamburg NY 14075 at 1PM. The family of Paul Garland completely understand if this is not something that can be accommodated, as I would hate for your volunteers to endure these harsh conditions if they do not feel comfortable. As such, Any member who wishes to attend this service and honor this hero, we will assemble a flag line at the church @ 12:30 Wednesday 1/17/24 with our plaque presentation to follow.Primary Staging Date and Staging Time:

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests at graveside. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American, or US Army flag, dress for the weather. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the military service of this American Hero
