About the Mission:

The family of Korean War Veteran Allen J. Roggen has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Roggen passed 22 February 2025 at the age of 92. with his family at his side.

Mr. Roggen graduated from York, NY Central School and started college at the age of 16 at the University of Rochester. He entered the US Army 20 during January of 1954 at the age of 20, serving his nation for 22 months on active duty, with a 17 month tour of duty in Korea with the 35th Infantry Regiment.  he was honorably discharged on 3 November 1955, and for his service was awarded; Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, Korean Service Medal and Marksman Badge ( M-14 ).

After his military service, Mr. Roggen worked at and retired from Kodak in Rochester, NY.  He worked on the Hubble Telescope as a Quality Control Engineer. His true passion was flying and he received the Wilbur and Orville Wright award for 50 years of flying without an accident.

Special Information:

Members will stand a flag line for arriving family and guests. After Mass and dignified transfer, members will escort Mr. Roggen and his family to Leicester Cemetery for military honors interment. Please do what you can to support Mr. Roggen and his loving family.
