About the Mission:

Two WW II Veterans, Tom Conners and George Steitz, are returning from D-Day events at the National WW II Museum in New Orleans on Friday June 7. A small crowd will gather to welcome them home.

The CDC has changed its COVID-19 protocol recommendations for 2024, updating them to reflect the changing severity and transmission of the virus. Please click here for the latest information and continue to practice common sense distancing protocols while in enclosed locations.

Special Information:

We will gather at 4:30 on the lower level, in the middle stairway at the large round planter.  Their Flight is American Airlines Flight # 5599 departs 3:30pm from DCA, Arrives Rochester 4:57pm and expect them to both take the elevator down where we will meet them flag line.

Update: with rain being forecast for Friday June 7 mission, I will be caging to the Rochester Airport. I have secured parking passes and be aware of the ramp parking being under construction. Please bring a clean American flag and join me for this short welcome home for these 2 heroes.
